Welcome to the Third newsletter to be issued on the website.
This letter aims to quickly glance through more possible major scientific breakthroughs, theories and discoveries achieved in 2021.
Scientific breakthroughs refer to discoveries that transform the knowledge frontier and have a major impact on science, technology, and society. The publication of these findings allows us to develop new technologies, solve practical problems, and make informed decisions — both individually and collectively.
Emirates Mars Mission

Originally launched back on the 19 July 2020, the UAE's Hope spacecraft aimed to be the first Arabian mission to succeed in entering the orbit around mars.
On the 9th of February, The goal was achieved.
Exoplanets collide

HD 172555 is a white-hot A7V star located relatively 95 light years from Earth in the direction of the constellation Pavo.
On October 20th, Spectrographic evidence indicated that a collision between two planet-sized bodies. the smaller of the two was destroyed, which had been at least the size of Earth's moon, and severely damaged the larger one, which was at least the size of Mercury
The evidence of the collision was detected by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope.

Presence of water, far away

The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array, "ALMA", is an astronomical interferometer of 66 radio telescopes in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile. It works by observing electromagnetic radiation at millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths.
On the 4th of November, a group of astronomers using the ALMA reported the presence of water in SPT0311-58, a galaxy nearly 12.9 billion light-years from Earth.
This marks the most distant detection of a required element for life in a regular star-forming galaxy.
