Welcome to the Fourth newsletter.

This letter aims to touch on the definition, factors, and human impact on global warming.

Global warming is a natural phenomenon, it is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere due to the greenhouse effect.

It is important to note that global warming has occurred many times throughout earth's history.

Many natural factors play a role in increasing global warming, including:

ree

-Volcanic eruptions: cause an increase by emitting co2 into the atmosphere.

-Forest Fires: cause an increase in the greenhouse effect.

-Permafrost: increases the amount of heat trapped on earth.

-water vapor: also plays a role in global warming.

Global warming, however, is not only caused by natural factors, as the presence of humans has played a major role in increasing the atmosphere's temperature. Global warming is often referred to as being both natural and anthropogenic.

*Anthropogenic stands for (environmental pollution and pollutants) originating in human activity.

The anthropogenic factors have led to an increase in the rate at which global warming is taking place. Some of the human factors affecting the atmosphere include;

ree

-Generating power, which causes the release of large quantities of greenhouse gases.

-Cutting down forests: This leads to a decrease in greenhouse gas filtering (less CO2 to O2).

-Using transportation: leads to increased greenhouse gases production.

In conclusion, while global warming is a natural event, human activity is accelerating the rate at which it is occurring. The results of global warming can be catastrophic thus we must act quickly to mitigate the damage that we have already caused.

This marks the end of the fourth letter, I hope that you found it interesting.
